We are proud to offer dental services for special needs patients. It is important to us that each and every patient feels comfortable coming to the dentist.
The most common anesthetic we use is a local anesthetic. This blocks pain in a specific area of the mouth. We often apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area before we give the injection.

I took my 3 yr. old daughter here for her first dental visit and then a 2nd visit for a small filling . I really can't say enough about this office! It's amazing! Super cute with lots of things for the kids and very CLEAN! Most importantly, such a great dentist and staff! This includes Jessica, the hygienist that did my daughter's cleaning. She was soo good with my daughter and made it a great experience. Thank you! I am so happy I found this place! As usual, excellent experience! My son got a cavity filled today and didnt even realize he received a shot! Thats how great the Dr and his team are. Thank you for making all of our dentist visits such a pleasant experience!
My almost 2 year old just had her first ever dentist appointment at Star Pediatric Dentistry of Manalapan. I was nervous because I expected her to freak out with a stranger so close to her but she did great! The hygienist, whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, was amazing. She was so nice and made my daughter so comfortable. She showed her every tool and let her touch them before they were used. The dentist, Dr. Donahue, was also so nice and great with my daughter. Overall, an unexpectedly awesome first dental experience!!!
